Our
Services

In-House Counsel Services

If you would like us to serve as your contracted "in-house" legal counsel, we offer hourly-retainer or flat rate-retainer agreements (based on specific time frames and assignments) to advise your organization on day-to-day matters, including, but not limited to:

  • Provider and vendor contract drafting, reviews, and negotiations

  • Employee Relations (onboarding of employees, training, disciplinary action)

  • Administrative hearing representation (managed care denial appeals, unemployment compensation appeals)

  • State regulator inquiry responses

  • Subpoena reviews

  • Compliance audit or external investigation  representation

  • Internal investigations and corrective action plans

  • Operational policies and procedures

Medicaid Audits &
Overpayment Recoupment

Upon notice of a Medicaid audit, it is best to get legal counsel involved as soon as possible. But, even upon receipt of audit findings or a notice of recoupment, you need an attorney who is familiar with the audit process.

We can assist you with your audit responses, settlement and payment plan negotiations, and if necessary, we can provide representation in your administrative hearings and any subsequent appeals.

           Contracting

As attorneys with contracting experience gained from handling voluminous contracts for a large company, we can also assist you with your contracting needs.  We advise on the best ways to protect and maximize your interests as well as explaining  the terms of the agreements so that you understand your obligations and potential consequences.

We review, draft, negotiate, and educate clients on the terms of contracts, including, but not limited to:

  • Disciplinary Settlement and Consent Agreements with Licensure Boards

  • Employment Agreements (new employer or staffing contracts)

  • Vendor Contracts (goods or services agreements)

  • Provider Agreements with the Ohio Department of Medicaid

  • Provider Agreements with other Healthcare Entities

Licensure Board Hearings

When faced with licensure sanctions or terminations, you need an attorney who understands how to navigate the administrative law process. We have the experience to represent health and human services professionals and entities before State of Ohio licensure boards, including, but not limited to:

  • Chemical Dependency Professionals Board

  • Chiropractic Board

  • Dental Board

  • Dietetics Board

  • Medical Board

  • Medical Transportation Board

  • Nursing Board

  • Optical Dispenser

  • Optometry Board

  • Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics Board

  • Pharmacy Board
